Application Process for the Old Age Grant
- Certificate of South Africa ID
- Marriage certificate or divorce certification, etc
- Income proof
- Asset proof

- The person can apply on the SASSA website or visit the SASSA office.
- In both modes, the purpose is to fill out the SASSA old Age Grant application form with all the accurate details.
- Submit the docs with the SASSA application form.
- Wait for the approval process for the old Age Grant.
Grant Suspension and Periodic Reviews
The people do not need to reapply for the Old age grant. Either the person updates the status of any change or the SASSA has a periodic review at some intervals of time. If SASSA finds any incorrect details, your grant may be suspended, so it is good to update the SASSA office about any change and in case of fraud, you might be given the notice to refund the amount of the SASSA grant with a penalty.
